What is a PennKey?
A PennKey is your unique identity at the University of Pennsylvania. It may have a number of affiliations (essentially relationships between the University and you) that govern access to other systems including your PMACS account. Most affiliations have an expiration date and require periodic reauthorization to remain active.
What is a PMACS account?
A valid PMACS account allows authorized users to access PMACS applications such as REDCap, LIMS or the PMACS VPN. A PMACS account is tied to your PennKey -- if your PennKey is deactivated so is your PMACS account.
